What Our Clients Say

My coaching sessions with Karen were powerful! She is spiritual, authentic, and wise! Her insight, calm demeanor, and biblical based homework assignments, challenged me to dig deep, consider Christ’s example and give myself more time and grace. I can’t say enough about how valuable my experience was with her. I highly recommend her services if you are seeking mentorship and/or Christian Life Coaching.
There are many Counselors all over who have certificates, degrees and accolades for their accomplishments, however, there is a special gift that is given from God to whom He chooses to be able to reach, connect and impact the lives of others in a life changing way. I know without a doubt God has given this gift to Dr. Karen Stevenson.
Dr. K is gentle in times you need support and aggressive in times you need a push. Her passion for the broken is evident in her healing sessions – pushing you past hurt to healing!
Dr. K is a great spiritual direction coach that is dedicated to enriching your spiritual life and growth. Kind, compassionate and strong person who has a clear sense of direction and purpose. Her purpose is to help define my purpose. I can honestly say I have clearer vision now with her guidance.

Godliness and Holiness

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16 The word, “Godliness,” comes from the Greek word, “Eusebeia.” Eusebeia refers to our concept of piety, which is the outward actions related to what one believes. In this culture, we shun the words “holiness,” and […]

GOD vs. god

When a person is taught that he or she is god, and they have everything they need already in them without GOD, what happens when they come to the end of themselves? What happens when life overwhelms them and they have nowhere to turn? When they have done all they can do yet find that their problems have surpassed their solutions? What happens when you have reached the end of you and all […]

Waiting…

Waiting is hard. It is mysterious. It is an often-uncomfortable space between what we knew, had, and lost to what we have no idea is coming.  We do not usually volunteer to be in a place of waiting. Especially when it is long and protracted – and there seems to be no end in sight. Waiting often involves grieving. It involves letting go and mourning what was lost. A loved one. Health. Financial […]

FOR YOU: Reflections on Holy Week

This is Holy Week, the most sacred week on the Christian calendar. Each day gives us an opportunity to reflect on the last days of Jesus’ earthly life.  Holy Week gives us a powerful opportunity to reflect on what Jesus ‘sacrifice means for each of us, and for all of us. In the days prior to Holy Week, the Lord spoke candidly to His disciples about His impending death and the suffering He […]

GRACE is Not Karma

This is my final reflection on the Book of Acts. I felt led to read this New Testament book on the beginnings of the Christian church, given the current state of the “new beginnings” of the church of the 21st century. We are trying to emerge from a pandemic that has shaken and transformed the world in ways we never imagined. We are witnessing the invasion and destruction of the nation of Ukraine. […]

Loving Yourself

Loving yourself is not about vanity. Vain people usually don’t love themselves, and they make a show of themselves trying to do so. Loving yourself is not about putting your body on display. People who put themselves on display do so because deep inside they feel invisible, and they just want to be seen – by anyone. Loving yourself is not screaming your soul-pain so loudly, trying to draw others to you, yet […]
